Can you imagine the frustration?

A long, long time ago (I can still remember) Mr M and I decided that the next step was Barcelona. That was good. Then I applied for Uni, and I got in. That was good too. And now September is at the doorstep and we have no flat. Now, that's not so good.

Plus, I am having all this nesting cravings. I want chairs, tables, shelves and plates. A bit like when I moved to Oxford, only worse because I know the space will be more ours, and not a standard university flat.

I've even been to Ikea (I needed a trip so badly, there was no Ikea in Oxford), and been unable to get anything because I cannot even imagine where will we end up (although there is a place I'd looove to get other than the mentioned in flat love. Send good vibes this way and I'll tell you all about it if i get it!).

I'll leave you with images of one of my life cravings: blackboard paint. I'd paint everything in it. I'd paint myself in it. I still don't know why, but I love it.

Flatpack, an IKEA opera

The possibilities of IKEA are never ending. Whilst most of us have witnessed Soap Opera moments between couples and families there, I do not know how many have actually seen a proper Opera in IKEA. Well, fear not, it all arrives to those who wait. Flatpack is here. Enjoy.

Ikea cars

My dad send me the picture with the sentence: "Ikea to launch cars to front crisis. Brace yourselves". Made me laugh. Thanks, dad.

Plan your sickie

I'll just say, new Ikea collection coming.

See more here.

Plan your sickie, use your holiday allowance, book a nanny, retire early. Whatever it takes.

I shall correct something...

I had a post a few days ago, "I´m becoming middle aged" where I mentioned how i wanted the Lila bowls in habitat and some plates from Ikea. Well, I take it all back.
The Lila collection is made out of fine bone china which is actually made out of bones. So, as pretty as it is, I do not covet it any more. It is unnecessary cruelty.
And the Ikea name I gave you was not the right one, and probably the picture wasn´t the right one either. My favourite Ikea plates are Epistel, although the Plocka ones actually could get to match them.
Shame about the bone china thing...

I'm becoming middle-aged...

... I want to buy plates. I've spent all my childhood amused at my mum's and grandma's obseesion for plates, table-cloths, glasses. Since I've been living with Mr. M in London (sharing with a bunch of ... people); this urge has taken me over too. And now that we are moving ALONE (hold on, let me just say that again, just to make it clear, ALONE) the need for plates is overwhelming. And it doesn't stop with the plates, no. I want cushions, cups, throws, rugs, even place mats! So this blog is going to suffer from "I don't have my house yet, and have no money, but if I did, I'd buy this" symptom.

Let me then share a few things with you...

PS: Ikea UK is having a competition: guess how much all the new products are and win (win what? They don't say).
