New Paperbling, work in progress

Hello world, I couldn't wait to have good light to take pics of these.

They are turning really, really nice. I think my sense of color has improved quite a bit this semester. (Although I've realized that all I do lately is soft greys/greens and various pinks).
This time there's recicled paint in some of them, and japanese masking tape, and metal connectors.
They are not finished, but they'll have bright ribbons to tie them.

Working like mad, procrastinating like mad

Er, I'm not actually writing in my blog but doing that design assignment. So i haven't found this either, and therefore I'm not excited about it.

And I'm not fantasising either about putting crayons in one of these and then unto the oven.

House on Fire

Now, now, now, I've been blah-in about "when I lived in Swaziland" this and that but I'm extremely proud to say that the best club ever (and gallery) has a brand new website!

I just couldn't describe the lively, magic sculptures you can find there, but finally! They are online :)
This is House on Fire.

The man is a genius. I love them madly!

HandEye Magazine

I have been quite blown away by the images shown here. It´s very exciting to see the beginning of a publication that focuses on "design and development, culture and commerce, art and craft, and environment and ethics".

Mad Men

I could say I don't watch Mad Men, but that I look at Mad Men. The plots may be subtle and charged, but the colors, the fashion, the furniture!

I've selected a few palettes (a la kirs's color stripes, who masters this) for total enjoyment of the Mad Men style.

(PS: Joan (top pic) is such a fabulous celebration of the female figure, it should deserve a chapter exclusively at her wardrobe)
