Aunt Peggy has departed

there is always space for ghostly, femenine, magical installations in this blog.
The materiality of memory is always a thrilling and personal topic to explore for an artist or a designer.
Please take your time to look around the other projects too.

Bliss

Mr M. and me have been off to London for the weekend to celebrate and have time for each other and it's been fab. (I'll tell you more about it eventually)
I've even seen Paul McCartney sing a Beatles song live, out of the blue. (ever told you I'm a Beatle-maniac?)
It's so good when life smiles.

Old Persons home by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu

Mr M. and I went to the Saatchi Gallery and were completely blown away. SO much art, all for free, with free magazines, free membership...
This work was specially spooky, for lack of a better word. It was strangely entrancing, though.

Flatpack, an IKEA opera

The possibilities of IKEA are never ending. Whilst most of us have witnessed Soap Opera moments between couples and families there, I do not know how many have actually seen a proper Opera in IKEA. Well, fear not, it all arrives to those who wait. Flatpack is here. Enjoy.

Ironic cheese

My grandparents have a Lladro Romeo and Juliet figurine. Needless to say, it's pure, unadulterated cheese. Now Committee has co-llaborated with Lladro (who are really thinking outside the box right now) for this funny, intelligent re-interpretation. Yes to ironic cheese.

Hats and horsemen

Mr. M and I visited London and boy, was it eventful!

We visited the Hats Anthology at the V&A. If they don't know what to do wiht all those beaotiful extraordinary pieces by the end of the exhibition, I'll gladly volunteer for most of them (not the feathery of furry ones, though).

And then we saw Death and the King's Horseman by Wole Soyinka at the National Theatre and it was SO beautifully stefed and designed, and I mean SO SO beautiful, I kind of didn't start listening to what they were actually saying until 10 mins into the play. (pic. of the controversial "color-blind" casting. All actors were balck, and the ones playing the colonial officers had "white" make-up on).

Hyungkoo Lee

Ever wondered how Bugs Bunny or Tweety looked like on the inside? Artist Hyungkoo Lee has. Exhibiting at Mythologies in London.

Alternative Job Centre

Put up a post with your ideal job, and who knows, an employer might fancy it and take you in.
A wonderful, hope-inspiring idea from The School of Life.

Doshi Levien

"My beautiful backside" sofa.

Different, daring, colorful and multicultural. Lusting all over it (I could do just with the cushions, really, The thin long one, the "oval" ones... they are stunning).
By Doshi Levien (who keep on getting it very, very right).

B never

B never too busy to be beautiful (yeah, long name) is a vegan make-up company that dares doing colors. So Yay! to colorful daring vegans. And they've just launched to extra-bright lipsticks that are incredibly flattering: Berlin and Belinda (not to mention their classic Boudoir, absolutely classic and balanced red). Plus, they are the answer to the odd question: where do vegans get vegan fake eyelashes and glue?

Eco advertising.

Curb is a London-based advertising company. They use techniques like cleaning surfaces with a stencil or stamping snow or sculpting sand. 10/10 on creativity, 10/10 on eco-responsibility!
